Thermo Fan Switch

Q. Does the fan switch meet the manufacturer's specifications? why or why not?
A. I could not find the manufacturer's specifications
Q. Is this a thermistor?
A. It is a thermistor as well as switch type.
Q. Explain the internal operation and why your resistance changes?
A. It is made up from bi-metallic strips. These metal strips have different expansion qualities with temperature. As the temperature of the water increases, the resistance between the outer therminals decrease because it is NTC type thermistor as well. At 95 degree centigrade of temperature, the two strips are disconneted and make it an open circuit. This makes the fan to turned on.
